Man sexually assaults 13-year-old girl walking home from school in Crotona Park

I bronx.news12.com A young teenager was sexually assaulted in Crotona Park while walking home from school, police say.

According to police, a 13-year-old girl was walking home through Crotona Park when a man grabbed her and threw her to the ground before forcibly removing her leggings and sexually assaulting her. Before running away, he stole her cell phone.

EMS was called to the scene and brought the girl to a hospital for a medical evaluation.

Police say the suspect was wearing a black hat, sneakers and jacket with a grey sweatshirt.
